I came for a review but instead you taught me more about Photoshop then uni and collage ever did. thank you sir! :)
I really love to see high skill artist testing tablets. Generally personality-type youtubers doing that.
Would love to see you test huion kamvas 22 plus in future. Seems like superior budget tablet.
xp-pen has a 22 in too for around the same price maybe even cheaper if you get an older version
@@SleepyVampArt xp pen analogs have matte firm, while huion 22 plus has laminated glass. Its a big deal.
Plus 22+ has new and better screen overall.
My currently shipping r/n cant say from experience.
Been studying art and drawing for 6 months. You taught me more about how to color and shade in one video than basically all the info I've went through
Me too. I thought this was just a simple tablet review. Didnt expect to learn so much tips and tricks for light and shadow 😳
23:07 Hi Ahmed, yes you can set it to double click. Just select where it says" Function Key", and that will take you to another menu, where you can choose, Mouse actions, Keyboard Actions and others. On the Mouse actions you have the option Double click Left Mouse. Enjoy the tablet :)
Are you able to help me with setting up the screen. I've connected the hdmi cable and but I can't draw on the tablet.
@@cazstokes8356 Hi, you also need to connect the USB-C cable. That's what makes the Tablet respond to the pen. So you need to connect the HDMI and USB-C on your computer. Hope this helps. Let me know if it worked .

Really cool video.
Kinda late to answer and I don't know if it'll be helpful but you can set the dial to rotate the canvas. Just go into the pentablet, express key settings and then dial. Set the function to "keyboard" and pick the keys that correspond with rotating clockwise and anti clockwise. I don't really know Photoshop but in CSP you can customise shortcuts by going to "file", "shortcut settings", "main menu" at the top, then "view" and "rotate left" & "rotate right".
Hope this helps
This is such a good tutorial on lighting! I was really having a hard time doing shadows and lighting. I'll definitely try out this one. Thanks for sharing!
Your voice and personality is like a cool but overly slick character out of a pixar movie. Like Alex the Lion or Barry the Bee in Bee Movie.
He does have a great voice for voice-over
I loved that you character examples are both from Dreamworks and not Pixar.. Lol..
***GIVEAWAY*** I will be doing an XP-PEN INNOVATOR 16 giveaway Livestream soon, make sure you're subscribed with notifications to join!
Thats a very interesting method! I'll definitely try it out. I think it will speed up my work flow quite a bit.
Very helpful video, thank you.
I personally have a cintiq 13 hd and i love it...it's enough space, it's given me very little difficulty, it works with any program...I've had it for almost....4-5 years and it works just as awesome. Thanks for this tutorial, just today I was talking about getting better at color with my friend and I decided to check out your tablet review lol the coincidence was eerie xD but cool nonetheless!! I thought you'd stopped uploading, but Im glad to see Medtor is still around
omg this video is packed with so much useful info! thanks a lot!
Great video! Your editing is always on point and the tutorial was really helpful :D
Thank you so much! This was suuuper helpful!
great tutorial im really looking into that tablet
thanks for sharing, you really inspire me 🙏🙏🙏
This is really helpful man...literally no one talks about it
I have been using the 24inch Pro by xp Pen for a few weeks and it is an absolute dream besides having to install the drivers a couple times to fix some bugs!
You might possibly be able to make one action for 15 degree rotate left and one for 15 right, assign keyboard shortcuts to them, and then assign those shortcuts to the wheel.
great tutorial Med
Thanks man! Great to hear from you - hope all is well out there. Had such a good time hanging out with you guys.
I absolutelly love my intuos pro but a nice screen definitely seems intriguing. Still I really love looking forward and not hiding part of the canvas with my arm or having to look up at the screen for the references or something else.
Yooo, that intro music is lit.
Great tutorial!
I use the XP Pen 16 pro from 2017. Screen Tablet. Reasons I got it was mainly price. $600 upon release which made it a much better choice than wacom screent ablet for a budget restricted student. It is still rocking right now. Perhaps this could be a future purchase for me.
I actually forgot this was a tablet review halfway through..
Warmer looks kinda cool too 👌
One of my favorite artists 🖐️😅
man you're the best
nice camera work :D
Holy f- the levels tip is genius! I'm not a big fan of multiply layer i rather change my brush blending mode directly or pick colors manually, i'm gonna apply this right away thanks! And i'm drawing on an old potato bamboo. xd
This man's soothing voice is just hypnotizing. Can watch him draw ALL fucking day. I truly forgot he was testing the XP-Pen for a moment there.
And this character looks like a Sith lord.. Before the time of Palpatine. With crazy Sith Mythical powers.
Should give her a cool ass red lightsabre!
I won this tablet in the magic card even and i gotta say its one amazing tablet
I got a older xp-pen 22IN tablet for 330 when they had one of their sales, it works perfectly even better than an older wacom screen tablet I had. They released a 22 in with tilt sense and a wheel AND a 24 in with the same features for the price I think the tablets are more than worth it and they have sales often as well as supporting artists with giveaways and samples to community leaders. I think Wacom will soon have to rethink the way they handle business you can get a 15'6 in tablet from huion and xp-pen for the price of one of wacom's 13 in with all of the same features except maybe the pen back eraser that no one uses anyways
use function key for double click button.
Anyways! Why I never thought about this Lighting process! So simple! I am not really satisfied with Multiply Shadow especially on skintone. Thank you for this.
congrats on the sponsor!
I was definetly tablet over screen tablet before I tried a huion 13". it has some drawbacks, screen was actually not good but they gave a discount so I keept it and found that I like to use it with an laptop. Normal screen is a 32 inch high up but when I draw with a tablet on a laptop screen thats.. inconvinietn. But with a 13 " and the laptop as 2nd screen it worked nicely. Anyway I ended up buying the 16" inovator (used) because 13" is not enough. for 16 and perhaps the next size the resolution is ok and you have a more usable screen. I haven t switched completely but so far I was satisfied with the tablet. If you wanna save some money the 15.6 cp pen is said to be pretty much the same. And although I am owning a wacom intuos I actually use an xp pen deco pro medium most of the time. works well with a alu keyboard since it s flat so i can put it on the lower keyboard and still reach all the keys.
p.s.:
I am sure I would set the whell to rotate the canvas max OS + Clip studio / krita.
Hey, thanks for the video!
How well do colours render on it, Ahmed? I've got my Huion 19 inches, but the colours aren't quite accurate as they should be. Therefore I'm looking to change my screen tablet.
Thanks and cheers.
nice very good thank you mr aldoori
Great lighting tutorial! As for the tablet unboxing, it was pretty nice too, but as you said, you haven't tried too many recent tablets, and honestly all the Huions and XP-Pens of the world have gotten pretty good. Not Wacom level yet, but like 90-95 % of the way there. Although I feel like at this point, the iPad drawing experience with the Apple Pencil is better than even the highest level Wacom.
Omg I didnt know about pen tilt setting been painting for months with it off...
Hello Ahmed. You can try put these lines "UseSystemStylus 0" into your PSUserConfig.txt file at C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\\ Settings\ then you can turnoff that annoying window ink.
Hey Ahmed. Any particular reason you use the medium intuos pro over the large?
I'm looking to upgrade from an intuos pro to a screen and wondering how this one is holding up a year later now
If you cant afford these and have an android tab try out SuperDisplay its only like 18,85 dollars and it works wonders. (Works even better if you have a tab that supports an Spen)
Which one is better. XP 15.6 pro or 16 innovator?
Hey, how's the pen tilt?
Ipad pro and wacom 22
cool
Could you pleaseee review the iPad and Procreate ????
I'd LOVE to see that 😔💗
Didn’t he already do that, like a year ago?
my issue with these is what is your left hand doing? I use an intuos as well, have been forever, and my left hand is forever floating around the shift, control, option, command keys. how do you position everything? also, when youre NOT drawing something, say... going through email, or looking things up on google, do you also have an intuos, or a mouse, or does this thing become youre only method of control? My intuos has completely replaced my mouse.
Amazing, do you think that drawing in the display kind of affect the art style?
Before I didn’t think so, and I forgot to actually talk about this in the video! I might make a follow up; but I definitely draw differently on screen than a tablet. I find with the screen tablet, I draw and paint far more carefully and deliberately, my paintings feel cleaner.
Awesome! in my case, i am more "rigid" when i go on my ipad or old cintiq
Isa 16 inch really big enough ? I tested it in the store and it kindof was very small. For a small thing it was good enough, but for a animation background painting was kinda a bit too small , in digital I also tend to draw a little bit bigger than on paper because the pen fidelity just doesn't match up. If you then use an animation software you also have tons of ui around a small field in the middle ...
I guess 20 inch might be the sweet spot for a tablet in my home office , but the 20 inch models are all from 2018/19 with older pen technology
Kind of a bad time to buy a pentablet lol , still gotta wait for the new models :(
early gang Pog
nicee
i love you
@Ahmed Aldoori I do find that kinda sketchy as a developer that you make the user uninstall the competitor's software. I wonder if Huion did that on purpose?
Conflicting software. Like running two different anti-virus software.
Why your windows bar is so thicc
What is your original country ?
I just bought this a couple weeks ago and it just will not work on my 2020 MacBook. I've had it for 2 weeks and customer support is basically nonexistent. if anyone wants to help me out let me know because right now I'm just pissed I paid full price for this and its basically a paperweight
I don't understand why you went to levels for your duplicate layers when with CTRL+U you also have a Lightness slider. You already use this adjustment later to play with Saturation and Hue so I wonder why you don't use it for the levels straight up.
The ctrl+U darkness slider only adds black or white to adjust values/darkness. Levels introduces more variables to push and pull for contrast. Curves is also another good tool for that too
I wonder if this was on sale? at 24:27 you show a screen grab of it for $399, but the site lists it for $499
Yeah that was weird, seems the sale stopped literally the day I upload the video
Is the main cable only created to be located in the direction of a right-handed person?
You can rotate the entire tablet to be left handed mode, so the cable will be on the other side I believe
Ahmed Aldoori yes, but it’ll be pointing down right? Not backwards and it can be uncomfortable, am I right?
Hmm I’m not sure if it will be uncomfortable, the cable will still be out of the way of your left hand, and it’s a usb-c cable, so you can plug it in pointing up or down either way
hi
Still using my good and old Intuos 3 T_T
hehe, me too!
Bamboo Pen and Touch, it’s 9 years old I think..
innovator is so beautiful, but the stylus is so ugly :(, I hope it works with the PA2 Battery-free Stylus
